Southampton PA (SPX) Jul 17, 2006 Environmental Tectonics Corp. is unveiling its revolutionary aerospace training and research center at the Farnborough Airshow on July 19-23. The National Aerospace Training and Research Center is a turn-key facility that advances commercial and government training and research capabilities for all types of human space flight, as well as defense and civil aviation. The first NASTAR center will "take off" in January 2007 near Philadelphia, Pa. ETC plans to open NASTAR centers around the globe in the next few years. "The NASTAR Center is our flagship product" said William Mitchell, president and chairman of ETC. "It is designed to deliver state-of-the-art aerospace training and an economical alternative to the increasingly limited defense and civil aviation training and research opportunities. The NASTAR centers will also lead training and research in the new arena of private space travel." At the hub of NASTAR center's capabilities is the Authentic Tactical Flight Simulator - an advanced human centrifuge which realistically replicates, with real-time G-force feedback, the flight profile of many aircraft, including an F18 or an A380, as well as private space launch vehicles. First Inflatable Spacecraft Mission Continues Problem Free 
Las Vegas NV (SPX) Jul 14, 2006Bigelow Aerospace has announced that the Genesis I prototype spacecraft successfully inflated and its solar arrays are deployed and supplying power to the onboard instruments.
